2. Balancing breathability and water resistance of these covers is a compromise as with any high quality tent material. We believe we have the balance right for the UK climate but in very heavy rain it is possible for water to penetrate the cover where it is in tight contact with the machine. This surface seepage is called wicking, but because the fabric is 'breathable' moisture will evaporate through the cover, and therefore the machine will dry with the cover on (subject to weather conditions).
